Stylemasters = ♥♥♥

While living in Denver for a short stint, I had the pleasure of meeting one kick ass lady, Lydia. Not only is this girl a blast to go out dancing and drinking with.. she's talented to boot! Her shop, Stylemasters Hair Adornments and Accessories, has some of the most adorable, unique, and well constructed hair goodies out there.

We did a little accessories swap a while back, and she sent me this stunning piece... LOVE! It's seriously one of the sturdiest hair flowers I have ever worn. These puppies won't go anywhere! I definitely plan on snagging some of those hair bows soon too :)

So make sure to check out her Etsy shop and 'Like' her Facebook page for news and discounts!

Handmade Spotlight - The Clay Pony

The Clay Pony is a shop of hand sculpted clay and resin art and jewelry by Stacie. A self proclaimed shop of cuteness and fan girl geekery, there is no shortage of either! You may not know it... but I'm a HUGE nerd. Yep. My fella and I adore Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and pretty much any other epic quest story. So, seeing all the house crest pendants Stacie has is like a fan girl dream for me. You should see the Horcruxes.. nerdy overload!

But other than that, she has the loveliest intricate pieces that totally appeal to my spooky side. Don't you just love the Ouija Board?!

So if you like cute and geeky, head on over to The Clay Pony!

Etsy Love - It's Kitsch Kraft!

That sly come hither stare..

Ok, I don't know for a fact that's where the shop name came from (I'll have to ask her!) but I'm going out on a limb and guessing it was that song. If not, well, it just reminds me of it. And then compels me to go listen to it...

Completely beside the point! Kitsch Kraft is the name of shop run by my best friend, Bonnie Dee. You know, that insanely cute model I posted about recently? I know, cute and talented.. no fair :) She's also the one who did the bulk of the Dismantled Fashions logo, and who's face is on my main promo image. Obviously, I'm a big fan.

If you're into lowbrow tattoo art at amazing prices - and let's be honest, who isn't? - then go and then also go! She'll paint up customs for you too!

Etsy Love - StellarCheri

I'm so in love with this shop - I've been lusting after her immaculately constructed accessories for a long time now. Is the pleated clutch not to die for? There are also gadget holders, wallets, key chain pouches (if you like to drink and loose your purse. Wait, is that just me?) and way more than that. Best part? She does custom orders in all fabrics, so you can have your perfect accessory match you. Yeah, amazing ♥

I'm in love with these two items, especially because how great would they look together. And don't lie, you know you have a secret soft spot for Miss Gaga!

Etsy Showcase (#1) - Dreams of Warm Weather

Well, after my last post I'm sure you can guess I'm tired of this snow! It's not melting and all I can do is wish for spring/summer. I wanna wear cute clothes again, go for walks, beach trips.. Ahh, just end already, Winter!

So to help me out while I await warm weather, I'll stick to listening to Del Shannon and perusing Etsy for some great spring/summer finds:

Hello Summer!

Today is the first official day of summer, and I gotta admit, I'm pretty excited! As a kid, I always hated it.. no idea why. But now I've grown to love it.

The trips to the James River, porch sittin', cut off shorts & lemonade (spiked with whiskey of course) = YES. My friends and I always say at the start of summer, "Let's make this one that we always look back on because it was so amazing." This year will be no exception!

Here are a few of my favorite Etsy items that remind me of summer:

  1. Hey Sailor Hat by SamanthaSultana
  2. Tropical One Piece Swimsuit by JeanMarieDesignz
  3. Pink Sugar Skull Hairtie by CalaverasyDiablitos
  4. Blue Deluxe Rose by Andy'sEyeCandy

Wonderfully Fabulous Accessories

I think I'm gonna give blog features a whirl. Let me know if you love/hate em, so I know if I should do more? Yes, maybe? Meh?

My first one will be the loooovely Cutie Dynamite, aka Andrea. Not only are her goodies absolutely to die for (I don't think she's had even one I haven't coveted) she's a complete sweetie. Her taste in music is quite good! Thanks for those band suggestions, girl.

Take a look at a few of my favorites and don't forget to check out her Etsy shop: CutieDynamite.etsy.com

Tease!

I've recently become quite obsessed with burlesque. Ever since I saw my first show, I'm so all about the look. Not to mention I'm dying to try it! It's classy, it's trashy, it's retro fab, so of course I'm in love. There are some rumors floating around *coughdeepacough* that we'll be starting a lil' something up here soon. I'm personally ready to get out some tassels and feather boas and... well, you know.

Here are some fabulous burlesque finds from Etsy...

  1. Plush Velvet Corset - Corset Couture
  2. Bellhop Girl Hat - Topsy Turvy Design
  3. Cat Garter Belt - Hopeless
  4. Rocket Red Tassels - Miss Manhattan Mamba
  5. Silver Flapper Headband - Cutie Dynamite
  6. Peacock Cocktail Hat - Taissa Lada Designs

This one time, I bought art.

I'm not usually one for calling out and blogging about other sellers/crafters/whatever the hell you wanna call it. Pretty much because I don't shop. But, I found this one store.. with the most amazing art. An, if you know me, I'm not that into art and I certainly never buy it. This stuff was just awesome though. It's all bright and amazing.. and the people she features in her work.. kickass.

So, I bought this. Being the insane Elvis collector that I am, I clearly needed an original fabulous art piece in my collection. Best part? 9x11.. for $15 bucks. I'm pretty sure I had no choice but to get it.

Her shop is Trixiecub.etsy.com. Just don't buy the two I'm eyeing. You know the ones. Those are mine.

Websites and a Heart Sized Crush

One of my new ventures is web design. In an effort to build up a little portfolio, I offered my "services" to fellow DIYer, Karla of Heart Sized Crush. I thought it would be a fun project because we kinda of have the same style and aesthetic in our work. It was, for sure. I think it came out so cute. You can click on her link there to see what I came up with.

In exchange for this we did a little trade for some of her adorablllllle jewelry. I got three stellar pieces, including the one I'm wearing in the picture that I look so delightfuly dorky in.

I also got a diamond swallows necklace and a mom swallow one. And let me tell you, they are so fabulous! I wore the mom one out the other night and everyone loved it! She has so many more cute tattoo/rockabilly style pieces available too. Just don't get the ones I want! A lot of hand drawn work goes into these and I promise you'll definately love them like I do.

Interested in her work? Good! Go check out her Etsy shop. Want your own website? Ask me.
