Beer and Bowling!

Do you know what the best part of having a bowling alley 2 minutes from your house is? The fact that they have our favorite beer on tap! Pitchers and gutterballs... perfect date night!

Settin' em up and knockin' em down!

Of course my ball is pink!

Tied for a HORRIBLE final score. We really tried here, too!

This is what we're much better at!

Bad bowling scores and love,

Halloween! Kind of.

You know that moment when you realize you're getting old? When Halloween isn't the same spooky magical thing it used to be? Yeah, me neither. But, this year I did realize that I've gotten kind of lame in the party department. We only went out once, and it was a very middle of nowhere country bar that kind of reminded us of Merlotte's from True Blood. That's pretty spooky, right?!

Turns out we've also gotten lame in the costume department. I ended up getting way too busy to put together the amazing ideas I had and went for a last minute 'Die Die My Darling' look... and then my fella just played copy cat ;)

Oh, the holidays are over!

And here is my notoriously late post about it all. Anyway! I hope y'all had a great holiday season. I know we did over here. Just look at us being all goofy in front of my mommas tree. I also hope you got everything you wanted for Christmas too! I made out this year and got things I didn't even know I wanted, thanks to my very observant fella. This one is my favorite:

Perfume atomizers! Plus my favorite scent to fill them with ♥

Then for NYE, we got all gussied up in our best attempt at 1920s attire for a speakeasy theme party. Complete with the Charleston and all. Aren't the decorations amazing?! Everyone was dressed to the nines, makes me wish I wouldn't have waited till I was on my way to buy something hah!

First kiss of the new year. We're the ones second from the left!

Our friends in the Rare Do-Wells, plus the fella on washtub.

Now it's time to crack down on some resolutions and enjoy a fresh start! Happy 2011 y'all! ♥

Winter Road Trips

Another successful Elvisfest has come and gone. This marked my fifth year attending! A couple of my best girls and I spent the weekend in Chapel Hill, NC getting ridiculous. Outta the deal, I'd say Billy Joe Winghead was the best band I saw. I base this on the theremin and the fact that they brought a ham loaf in the shape of Elvis. Hilarious.

(The ham loaf in it's glory)

Of course the Straight 8s, the Defilers, the Truckstop Preachers and D Ray the Shockers were my favorites, but they always are. Oh, and thank you to the fella who gave me some of his moonshine, it made the evening!

(Us freezing outside. Not sure why I'm hunched over haha)

------------------------------------------------

And now that we're back and slightly recovered, we are heading to Nashville tomorrow after I tie up a few loose ends and make a post office trip. We' (my roomate Robin and I, that is) are going to visit my favorite model and best friend, the recently married and moved off Bea Derringer. (or is it Bonnie now? I can't keep up with that girl.) Back in a few days!

I'm baaack!

Well, I've been back since Monday. But I've spent the past few days recovering from the craziest weekend of the year. There's so much and so little to tell, and frankly I don't remember much.

As far as vending the event, I think it was a success. Though this year was the lowest turnout I've seen in my 4 years attending, I still made out okay. The other vendors were extremely awesome and I met a lot of very cool talented people (including the lady behind Mode Merr who had such great things to say about Dismantled Fashions, what a sweetie!) I also had a blast being next to the E-Bomb and Martha Rotten booth. Thanks for being entertaining when we were stuck at the table! Personally, I don't think I'll vend again unless I can hire help. I feel like I missed out on too much and I'm just not okay with that!

I wasn't able to check out many new bands as most of the good ones were downstairs, but here's a few you need to know! I'm sure there was more, but PBR & whiskey pretty much took what memory I had left.

And, thanks again to the booze, we really didn't take many pictures. And the maybe 5 we did take came out horrible! So I'll leave you with one of me, Bea and Deepa showing off our crew. So tough. Till next year, Heavy Rebel!

Oh! And I clearly made waaaay too much stock, so I've got more than I can handle left over. Some are new things that will need models so I'll be working on that soon. Expect the shop to fill up soon! And for lots of clearance stuff, because I'm completely tired of holding on to so much.

Heavy Rebellll!

It's almost time for my favorite event. It's the one I look forward to all year, and get totally depressed when it's over. Yes, it is that amazing. This will be my... 4th year?

This year, yours truly will be among the vendors. EXCITED. I went to the Heavy Rebel website today to check out the vendor list and got all giddy to see my name and website listed. What can I say, I'm easily impressed. While I was there, I saw they put up the initial band list, with more to come.

Ones I'm dying to see:
The Defilers
Lords of the Highway
Bo-Stevens
Sasquatch and the Sickabillies
Holy Ghost Tent Revival
The Koffin Kats
Memphis Morticians

.. and of course all the new bands I don't even know I love yet. I've discovered some of the best music from going to this weekender. If you haven't been, you just don't know! If you're from the east coast, make the trip. Trust me, it's worth it. And don't forget to come to my booth and have a drink with me and the girls!

Shake, shake, shake!

I'm so excited for all the new models I've got coming up! I just nabbed 5 new smokin' hot ladies as trade models, plus 3 fiendishly hot local girls I'm planning things with. I'll share names and links for these lovely girls once everything is set in stone. All kinds of crazy newness will be happening with Dismantled Fashions in the near future.

Oh, here's a couple pictures from my birthday last month, held at our favorite little Irish dive bar. We clearly had a good time. That ass in my face belongs to Stef of Toxic Shock yaknow!

A whiskey drinkin sinner..

Cash Bash '09... total blast. Though we missed the first night so we could stop in Chapel Hill and see Southpaw, it was still an absolutely amazing trip and some of the best fun ever. Every time I go to North Carolina it reiterates that I need to be there! One day, I'ma pick up and just go. This picture pretty much sums up how I feel about the weekend... Trash O Rama in Raleigh next? Till then.

You better work!

My weekends are filled with outrageousness these days...

Saturday: Open bar!

Rendezvous in Richmond is trying to be the new hip thing. And it is succeeding. It's by far the classiest establishment I've ever been trashed in. Thanks, guys!

Sunday: Drag Show!

The Trailer Park never looked so fabulous. That's Me, Robin, Stef and the amazing Miss Candy Pantz. I don't know much about clothes.. but my hair looks fierce.

After that I think there was some bar hopping. You know.

And the finally I spent Monday preparing for Model Mondays. Also at Rendezvous, every Monday there is a big free for all photoshoot. I did my first one this week. It was kind of fierce. I don't have any pictures back yet, but you better believe I'll post them when I do. On Flickr! I signed up for an account. I'll post all my Dismantled Fashions stuff there, and all my personal pictures. Add me as a contact or something? - EmilyDismantled on Flickr

Bar parties and hair flowers.

Last weekend we all went down to Virginia Beach/Norfolk for a coming home party for a friend. Held at a quite fabulous dive bar, I might add. It was one of the few nights in my life where I actually don't remember a lot of it, which is probably for the better considering I had damn near 15 cocktails, hah. I think the posted picture pretty much sums it up. If all goes well, we'll be going down there again this weekend.

I also learned the only things I blog about are drinking and crafts. Clearly, the most important things in life.

Last night Amy came to hang out with me and we had a crafty sleepover. We bought bags of fake flowers and sat around watching 'Stand by Me' while making piles of adorable hair flowers. We justified our extravagant spending by me saying, "Hey, we can sell some, it's ok!" So, after we kept out a ton of them for ourselves I decided to put the rest on Etsy. Take it from us (total accessory snobs) that these are fabulous. If I sell any, I'll have an excuse to make more. And I like that!

Models

I've decided to try and take on a few new trade models. I was feeling like my portfolio was kinda.. pathetic. Not to mention the website could use a fresh face! I've got three amazingly beautiful and talented ladies that I will now be working with. Meet...

Tawny Nicole

So this is the new year...

Well, happy 2009! I'm personally so glad last year is over. Here's to new beginnings and a New Year's resolution of being more fabulous! Here are a couple of my favorite pictures from our New Year's Eve night out...

Just a couple days of playing catch up on back orders, then it's time to finally start work on the prototypes for the new line. Excited.
